CUP OF KING PETAR AND CLEAN WORLD CAMPAIGN IS CLOSED

Seventeen competitive teams from five towns in Serbia, successfully mastered the tasks of orientation in unfamiliar territory during the last weekend. Municipality of Palilula  supported the activities of young people in scouting organization. The Cup of "KING PETAR I", with approximate 29 teams of Scouts, was held on the grounds of Belotinci near Nis from 20th of September until 22nd of September. This traditional activity of Scouts was successfully organized by the detachment "King Petar", under the auspices of Municipality of Palilula in Nis.

Scouts organized into 17 competing teams from 5 cities in Serbia, out of which 11 teams were from Nis, competed in scouting events in orientation in unfamiliar territory, signaling, first aid, overcoming obstacles. According to Momcilo Petkovic, the 29th Serbian team competition "Cup of King Petar I" showed better results of teams compared to the previous year. Of the older Scouts, "Panthers" were the best team, from the scout unit "Radomir Jovanovic Čoče" - Bor. Team "Valkirijana" from unit "Đuka Dinić" won second place and the team of "Phoenix" from unit "Lola" Nis came in third.
Team "Butterfly" from unit "Lola" won the  first place, the team of "Scorpio" from unit "George Simeonović" - Zajecar was the second and the third place went to "the White Wolves" from unit "Joseph Pancic - Nis".

Awards for the most successful participants of the competition, trophies and medals, which took place in several categories (younger scouts, Venture Scouts and older scouts) were presented by Milos Stojiljkovic, member of Municipality of Palilula and Momcilo Petkovic, head of the scouts. Media ecological network of Serbia-EKOpolis organized on this scouting activities final environmental campaign "Clean up the World 2013 ", which this year carries the message:" Together we can show that our efforts have a significant local, global, environmental impact "and Municipality of Palilula promoted the international project" Living Green ". "This kind of competition, according to a member of the Municipal Council of Palilula Milos Stojiljkovic, promote healthy lifestyles and preserve our environment”.

Palilula Municipality of Nis has a good cooperation with civil society organisations. With scouts organization, municipality is developing partnerships around the implementation of programs and projects for young people in Memorial Park Bubanj. On the territory of the municipality of Palilula are three squads of Scouts, "Đuka Dinić," King Petar "and detachment from training ship" Jadran ".
